“Honoring the Legacy of Peace and Leadership: Happy Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti – 02.10.2024”
On 2nd October 2024, Nazareth School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti, two significant occasions that honor the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, two great leaders who shaped India’s history with their dedication to truth, peace, and service.
The day began with a solemn prayer service, paying tribute to the contributions of both leaders. Students shared inspiring speeches, sang patriotic songs, and performed skits that highlighted Gandhi Ji’s principles of non-violence and truth, as well as Shastri Ji’s leadership and the importance of simplicity and self-reliance. The students also participated in activities such as essay writing and poster-making, reflecting on the ideals these leaders stood for.
This celebration was not only a tribute to their leadership but also a reminder to live by the values of peace, integrity, and service in our everyday lives. Nazareth School encourages all its students to embody the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, as we continue to build a better, more compassionate society.
